Cheri Kay Sessions has been practicing pediatric physical therapy in Los Angeles since 2002, working with children with special needs. She is also very involved in Big Fun Gymnastics, a program for children with medical or developmental needs.

Cheri Kay graduated with a bachelor’s degree From Michigan State University in 1998, a Master’s degree from the University of Rhode Island in 2001, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from USC in 2004. Along the way she has also earned membership to the National Athletic Training Association, the American Physical Therapy Association and the section on Pediatrics, and the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine.

Cheri Kay made her first trip to Haiti in October of 2004 and it was there that she realized the great need for physical therapy services, training, and education for the people of underdeveloped areas.

Mia Paredez

Amelia "Mia" Paredez

Amelia "Mia" Paredez earned her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy in 2007 from Columbia University in New York City.  Mia began her education in OT after spending many years working with children with special needs in homes, schools, and gymnastics settings.  Mia graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Humanities from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.  She is fluent in sign language and has extensive experience working with deaf children and integrating behavior therapy techniques into her work.
 
Mia currently works at Northridge Hospital in Northridge, CA in an acute rehabilitation setting for adults and pediatrics with physical disabilities.  She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and was the recipient of the 2007 Joan Bozuwa Memorial Award.

Mia has been actively involved in volunteer work to support various causes for children with disabilities inthe Los Angeles area and took her first trip to Haiti in 2006.  She fell in love with the children that she met and the opportunities she found there to apply her numerous skills.  Mia has also volunteered with Global Health Partners in Mangaua, Nicaragua and has returned to Haiti to share her amazing personality, love and therapeutic skills to those in need.

Teri Sessions

Teri Sessions-Roose

Teri May Sessions-Roose took her first trip to Haiti in the spring of 2005.  It was then that she knew she had to be a part of the effort to change the lives of these children through Ancheri Care.  Teri came home and immediately began work on her first fundraising event in which she raised over $1000 for the cause.
 
Teri is a creative thinker and is knowledgeable in a number of computer programs including data and design.  She has created two websites in which she is self taugh and continues to learn more about html every day.  Teri's creativity is essential in moving Ancheri Care forward in so many areas including marketing, fundraising and program design.
